CeBIT 2013. Day three. Zotac, Cooler Master and Sapphire
As usual, all the fun is hidden in the farthest corner. Pavilion number 17, hidden from the eyes of ordinary visitors, housed the Business Area. Behind closed doors are Cooler Master, Zotac, Sapphire, AMD and Plextor stands. It cannot be said that there were a lot of new products, but nevertheless the fresh course of the exhibition was diluted. CodeRush is very pleased that Zotac made it possible to hold in the hands of a novelty - GeForce GTX Titan.
Zotac
In addition to NVIDIA video cards, Zotac presented several interesting new products. The StreamBox minicomputer has characteristics similar to Intel NUC and is designed to connect to the TV and play content from various Wi-Fi devices. The advantage of this solution over the standard SmartTV is that you can install any operating system on the StreamBox.

Another interesting device is called RaidBox and is an external container with USB 3.0 interface. Inside is a card that allows you to install two SSD drives with an mSATA interface and configure RAID 0 or 1 to get either reliable storage or an ultra-fast external drive. In my opinion, the difficulty lies in the fact that the market is low-capacity large-capacity solid-state drives and in the current situation on the Russian market the maximum storage capacity will be 240 gigabytes. On the other hand, this capacity is enough for most users, and the data transfer rate will be very high.
The new generation ZBOX is no longer limited to low-power processors. The product, which will hit the market in April, has a motherboard based on the Intel H61 chipset and third-generation Intel Core i5 processors. The board is equipped with two SO-DIMM DDR3 slots, and the storage system is designed to install one 2.5 "hard disk.
Cooler master
On Tuesday, I wrote about a white mono-brand solution from Thermaltake, and today I saw a similar stand at Cooler Master. White body, white keyboard, white mouse and even a white monitor from BenQ. Stylish trendy youth. I like this approach and I think that many users share my opinion.
Of the new cases, it is worth noting the N series. In the photo from left to right - N200, N400, N600. The layout of the case is almost the same, they differ only in size.
Stands for gaming laptops of the CM Strom Ergo series are distinguished by a built-in USB hub and the ability to adjust the angle of inclination. As is the case with similar devices Enermax, the size of the stands allow you to cool laptops with a diagonal display of 17 and 19 inches.
New air-cooling systems were represented by a Cooler Master V8 GTS cooler at the base of which a vaporization chamber was installed, and a simplified version of the top-notch TPC812 - TPC 612 cooler.
Liquid cooling is represented by unattended Cooler Master Seydon systems and semi-professional Eisberg solutions. The peculiarity of the latter is the possibility of self-upgrade of CO with minimal costs from the user.
The prototype of the CM Storm Reaper gaming mouse looks nice and good according to the stated specifications, but so far it is only a mechanical model.
The update also affected the power supply line - the expensive V1000 gaming unit became the flagship of the new line.
The popular theme of accessories for mobile devices has not bypassed Cooler Master. Two types of universal laptop chargers and many cases for iPad, iPhone and ASUS Transformer are proof of that.
It was also possible to find out details about future products, in particular, the case of Cooler Master Cosmos Mini and even see it with my own eyes, but it was forbidden to photograph it.
Sapphire
This time, the well-known manufacturer of Sapphire video cards surprised at this time with non-standard solutions. The white casing looks great on a special version of the Radeon HD 7950 for Mac. The board has undergone modifications in the circuitry and BIOS. The price of this solution is 50 euros higher than the regular version.
Demo stand with AMD Fire Pro graphics card was connected to six monitors integrated into a video wall. Six miniDisplayPort ports are soldered on the video card, which makes the connection quite simple. In addition, using special split miniDP - 2xDVI splitters, you can connect 12 monitors simultaneously.
Content management is carried out through a special utility that places photo tape, running line, video clips on the video wall in the desired order.
Nettops on AMD APU hybrid processors are not new, but for the exhibition they brought a special copy with a transparent side cover through which the minicomputer filling is visible.
