Microsoft allowed to install Office 2013 on different computers

In February, it became known that the user agreement Microsoft Office 2013 once and for all binds the office suite to the hardware on which it was installed for the first time. In the event of a breakdown or upgrade of iron, the user could lose the license. Such enslaving conditions caused loud outrage on the Internet, and Microsoft backed off.

Today in the official Office blog, Microsoft announced that changes have been made to the EULA. Now an office suite can be transferred to another computer with the only restriction - such transfer should be carried out no more than once every 90 days. If the transfer is associated with a breakdown, then this restriction does not apply. In the next release, the text of the agreement will be updated, but the new rules are also valid for those who have already purchased Office. Changes apply to Office Home & Student 2013, Office Home & Business 2013, Office Professional 2013 and selected Office 2013 applications.
