EMBRACE + color bracelet - a simplified interface with a smartphone

Many drew attention to the success of the Pebble project - a digital watch that simplifies human interaction with a smartphone. Amazing and probably a useful thing, I caught fire with ideas, but quickly lost interest in understanding that I didn’t need an additional distraction from work, but for entertainment and communication, I also have just a smartphone. Recently, a project with similar ideas appeared on Kickstarter - an EMBRACE + bracelet, a simplified interface between a smartphone and a person. He notifies of new letters, sms or posts in social networks with a flashing color signal. The color and frequency of the flashing signal is configured in a program available for Android and iOS. It seems to me that such a simplified format of reminders from a smartphone will find a lot of fans.



Currently 3 designs are available (thickness - 8mm max, width 12mm). Starting "pledge" from $ 49.

The only thing that confuses is that the developers also hint that the bracelet will be waterproof, although I believe that this feature should be defaulted. The next step I think will be the reduction of such a gadget, to the size of the ring.

UPDATE: I specified the maximum signal transmission distance from developers - 10-15 meters.
