Gendir Yota Devices talks in detail about YotaPhone

Yota Phone was first shown in December last year. Only three months have passed since that moment, and, surprisingly, the smartphone has already acquired new chips, and the CEO of Yota Devices, Vlad Martynov, even named the approximate date when the smartphone went on sale.

At the MWC 2013 exhibition in Barcelona there are not so few gadgets that are talked about a lot. Perhaps the most talked about is the ultra-cheap Nokia 105 phone. We are also often asked about the Yota Phone, which, although it hasn’t yet gone on sale, is also of great interest as a prototype. And the questions are asked by foreign colleagues, which pleases and fills with a sense of pride. For some reason, our IT journalists for some reason only drench, in the context of Yota, remembering everything at once: both that we don’t know how to make cars, and that we will fail the Olympics, and that all the money will be cut, etc. etc. And, of course, that the smartphone is not working - there is only one prototype on the stand, and it will never go on sale.

In fact, there are seven prototypes on the stand, they are not given into the hands, but this is a common theme for exhibitions. Indeed, the smartphone is still unstable, Yota Devices unsuccessfully chose the first supplier, but now they have changed it, and another company that makes devices, in particular, for Nokia, Blackberry and even for Apple, will assemble the commercial model.

Here, at the exhibition MWC 2013, there was another information occasion for Yota: the company signed an agreement with Qualcomm. What does all this mean, and what's new in Yotafon, was told to us by the CEO of Yota Devices Vlad Martynov.
