The first lawsuit under the new law 187-ФЗ. VKontakte on the verge of blocking?
On the very first day of the entry into force of the “anti-piracy” law 187-FZ, a lawsuit was filed against VKontakte from a company with the ironic name Cinema Without Borders. Moscow City Court accepted the claim, but has not yet taken any action, citing the lack of all necessary documents.
Sam Klebanov, president of Kino without Borders, via Skype from Sweden, stated his position in an interview to Dozhd TV channel. Here are some of his statements in the conversation:
"... there is a fairly large part of the Internet industry, including, for example, which is part of the Gazprom-Media holding and others, which deals with absolutely legal distribution of films on the Internet and they support this law ..."
“... you contact VKontakte company and ask to make a film, they ask to“ send links ”, you send links, they shoot, in five minutes a new distribution of the same films appears ...”
')
"... we have no reason to apply for RuTracker, because they went to meet us ..."
"... you do not see Apple protesting this law, because Apple has entered the market with an iTunes store that works very effectively ..."
"... this is the Internet industry must negotiate with us because they want to take our content ..."
“... it's easier for us, we are a small independent company, we make decisions quickly. I remember recently I spoke with a representative of one of the largest Hollywood studios who said “you know, we are such an old warship, we turned around for a very long time, but when we turned around, we have a lot of guns on board and we are of all vdarim ", so that, I think, the big studios will follow ..."
A little earlier, on the same channel, there was a discussion with some representatives of the film industry, in which well-known director Vladimir Mirzoev spoke as follows:
“I don’t really understand what“ the state gives money ”. Who are the "state"? Money give taxpayers. Our people who pay taxes love movies, and someone asks if they would prefer the budget to be redistributed in a different way? Let's ask. We will not ask deputies of the State Duma who have their own views on many things. It would be possible to find other ways to support cinematography and television. To give an opportunity to people who today want to watch an interesting movie for free. Why should the state not subsidize this process, and not some other strange processes, for example, the production of new cans - I mean tanks, which will then go to the smelter anyway. ”
Oil toad rejoices, gentlemen!
