As part of the MWC 2013 exhibition that started yesterday in Barcelona, Samsung introduced its new device, designed to combine a variety of mobile devices and consumer electronics in the house into one single smart network - HomeSync.
The device is a home media center that allows you to store and synchronize the content of mobile devices of the GALAXY family. It works with games and Android applications, and also acts as a set-top box for broadcasting from Android-devices to TV various media content, including movies and TV shows with a resolution of 1080p. HomeSync is equipped with a 1.7 GHz dual core GAIA processor (Cortex A15 Dual), 1 GB DDR3, 8 GB eMMC flash memory, 1 TB HDD, 802.11 b / g / n 2.4 Wi-Fi and a / n 5 GHz modules and Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI connectors (HDMI1.4), microUSB, USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, optical audio output. All this stuff works on the basis of Android Jelly Bean. The media center supports up to eight separate password-protected and encrypted user accounts. With each of them, you can individually synchronize content from other devices or share it for other accounts. To download games and applications have access to Google Play. By the way, you can install applications and manage them on HomeSync remotely - from a mobile phone or tablet.
Samsung HomeSync will be available in April. The price of new items is not yet known.
