In Google Chrome, sound level indicators appear in each tab.

In the latest builds of Google Chrome Canary , animated indicators of playback and sound recording on tabs have appeared. Indicators are superimposed over favicons. If you had to open many tabs in a row at once, or restart the browser with a lot of open tabs, and some of them suddenly started to make sounds - you will certainly appreciate this innovation. You no longer have to convulsively reduce the volume with the system slider, and then go through all the tabs one by one in search of the source of noise. Here is a video demonstrating the operation of the indicator:

Indicators work both for sound played by regular browser tools and for Flash. In addition to the appearance of indicators, the strategy of freeing unused memory in the presence of tabs with active audio streams will also change. Such tabs will be considered active, even if they are not open, this will allow you to play and record audio in the background without any problems, if necessary.
