Samsung will not release Bada-based smartphones after entering the Tizen OS market

South Korean corporation Samsung is the largest manufacturer of Android-based smartphones. At the same time, the company also produces low-end phones, equipping them with another operating system - Bada. Not so long ago there was information that Samsung is going to release devices based on the new mobile OS - Tizen, and in this regard Bada support stops.

It can be said in another way: Tizen will absorb Bada. The fact is that devices based on Tizen will be able to work with applications for Bada, so in this regard, all is well. However, Samsung will stop selling devices based on Bada after the release of analogues based on Tizen. And, most likely, the Bada on Tizen will not be updated.

The South Korean corporation invested a lot of money (no, not so much - invested a lot of money and effort) in the development of the new mobile OS Tizen. All this - not to depend fully on Android, one of the main modern operating systems for mobile devices.

Of course, you will have to invest even more money and effort to popularize Tizen. It is difficult to say whether this OS will become at least half as popular as Android and iOS. Although, judging by the volume of devices manufactured by Samsung, you can predict the rapid growth in popularity of Tizen-devices. In any case, Samsung has more (or even much more) opportunities to popularize the new OS than Canonical, Blackberry or Mozilla Foundation with their own mobile operating systems.
