Record weekend - world overclocking record in 3DMark03 from Russia
Last weekend was rich in records in the world of overclocking. Overclockers from Russia, Australia and Taiwan conquered the peaks of several benchmarks at once: 3DMark03 , 3Dmark06 , 3DMark Vantage , 3DMark11 and the new 3DMark . Naturally, we would like to start the story about the records of extreme overclocking with the successes of the Russians from OCLab.ru. A pair of ASUS ROG ARES II video cards, in combination with the overclocked Intel Core i7-3770K processor, was able to set a new absolute record in 3DMark03 .
As a confirmation of the result, a small video was made:

3DMark03 is the only benchmark of the old generation, where the influence of the processor frequency is minimal, and the main focus is on the video card. Recall that a month ago, ASUS introduced the fastest graphics card in the world - ROG ARES II . ARES II is a tandem of a pair of AMD HD 7970 GHz Edition GPUs, a combination of GPUs on one printed circuit board called 7970x2 . The use of a hybrid cooling system that combines water and air cooling has resulted in the nominal frequencies of the video card being 1100/6600 MHz. Of the 7970 single-chip video cards, only HD 7970 MATRIX from the same ASUS can boast of such characteristics.
The overclocking of video cards up to 1230/7000 MHz made it possible to achieve an absolute world record in 3DMark03 with an impressive margin from competitors. The final result was 283,017 marks.
While the Russians were fighting for an absolute record in 3DMark03 , at the other end of the world in Taiwan, the American k | ngp | n was adequately prepared for the launch of the new fastest single-chip video card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan . Naturally, 10 records could not go unnoticed and I hasten to share with you the NVIDIA commercial with k | ngp | n .
The procession of record results ended in Australia, where the guys from Team.AU met to fight for gold in 3DMark06. The fact that the leadership in 3DMark06 belongs not to new video cards like Titan or ARES II , but already sunk into summer - Radeon HD 5970 , is also remarkable. Let us hope that next weekend, on the eve of the Hanover exhibition CeBIT 2013, they will become even richer in records, and I will tell you about the latest news from Hanover.
