Nokia predicts the flourishing of UGC and geek culture

Nokia conducted a survey among young trendsetters in 17 countries and, based on its results, published an interesting study on the topic of future changes in world popular culture, lifestyle and entertainment industry. Here are five major trends for the near future.

• In 2012, 25% of the total content of the global entertainment industry will be created, edited and distributed via P2P. I mean not only torrents, but also other types of direct contacts between people. It will be something like collective creativity or collective social media. Of course, creativity and exchange of UGC-content will occur through mobile phones.

• Geek culture. Ordinary people are looking for more and more "clever" entertainment. Technologies enter the life of the population and entertain users, giving them pleasure.
')
• G Tech. The social trend that is now observed in Asia: a kind of feminization of technology. This means that the entertainment becomes more collective, democratic, emotional and customizable. All this "feminine" quality.

• Immersive Living. Lifestyle in which offline and online reality merge. Entertainment is no longer isolated from everyday life, and people can receive and create entertainment content anytime, anywhere.

• Local interests. In contrast to the past trend of globalization, now the consumption of entertainment is increasingly moving to the local, local level with reference to the place of residence of the individual.
