According to the Wall Street Journal, Google is
developing a new model of its line of Chromebooks, which will be equipped with a touch screen.
The device will be released this year and will be the answer from Google to Microsoft Surface tablets and other similar computers based on Windows RT.

The touchscreen display of the new Chromebook will require changes in ChromeOS, which currently does not support gesture control. Probably, the familiar set of gestures of devices based on Android will be added to the system.
Recently, Google has shown increasing interest in the manufacture of its own devices. Here you can mention the recent rumors about a Chromebook Pixel laptop with a high-resolution screen, so nobody officially refuted. Google is feeling more confident in the ready-made devices market, and the company's ability to expand the Chromebooks line is not questioned.
