Microsoft has allocated a "military room" for emergencies

A CNet journalist with a camera made a visit to the sacred den of Microsoft, namely the so-called “war room”, where security managers gather emergency meetings every time they find critical vulnerabilities in Microsoft products. Since lately crises have arisen more and more often, for this purpose, Microsoft has set aside a separate, specially equipped room. Here all the necessary equipment is installed, and there is also a supply of food and drink in case of a robust job.

Microsoft security chief Mike Nash (Mike Nash) began to demand from the management of a separate room in 2005, and he was not forced to wait long. Already in June 2005, two rooms were allocated at once for emergency meetings of the security department, and the office was renamed the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC).

At the central command post there is a framed portrait of Mr. Wolf (Mr. Wolf), a character from the film “Pulp Fiction” - a calm professional, confident and inspiring confidence in others who can solve any problems ( photo ). It was he who was called to the aid of the murderer, when it was necessary to quickly clean the car from the blood and get rid of the corpse. Employees of the Microsoft crisis center do about the same, but instead of blood and corpses, they usually deal with the consequences of virus attacks.
