3Doodler pen can draw three-dimensional objects right in the air
What happens if you take a printhead of a conventional 3D printer for ABS plastic and stick it in a compact case that fits comfortably in your hand? It turns out a pen that can literally write and draw not only on paper, but also right in the air. The 3Doodler project, which started yesterday, February 19, at Kickstarter, in a few hours already collected more than half of the required amount.
For writing using standard 3-mm plastic rods. One meter of raw material is enough for more than 10 meters of the finished line. Plastic freezes almost instantly, which allows you to draw without support, on weight. In addition, you can draw on any flat (or curved) surface - ready-made drawings are easily separated from the paper, and the plastic is quite firmly “welded”. One of the possible uses of 3Doodle is minor repairs of plastic parts and the décor of any plastic products.
The handle weighs less than 200 grams, pre-order on Kickstarter will cost $ 75 (two sets of colored plastic bars are included in the package). 3Doodle supports two “print” speeds - for quickly filling large areas and for fine work. The creators claim that you can adapt to create simple forms in a couple of hours, and drawing on a plane does not require any special skills at all.
