Implanting Palm Wireless Charging on HTC HD2

It describes in detail how to install the charge in any mobile phone with a plastic back cover.
With the HTC HD2 there is no simple solution, since two problems interfere:
- The back cover of the battery compartment is made of metal and there is absolutely no space under it;
- soldering power to micro-USB is problematic and is associated with the analysis of the phone (not trivial for a beginner).
The solution to these problems (a lot of photos, traffic)
In my case, the back cover of the Palm Pre acts as a donor. According to the results of measurements, the charging current turned out to be 220mA, which is less than that of Pixi (300mA as measured by Delphir )

Rear cover with dismantled charging circuit
Unsolder the charging coil, drill two holes in the back cover with a 3mm drill, thread the coil taps.
We pretend the location of the coil, exactly behind it we must arrange the magnetic circuit.
Then successively glue the magnetic core, drill 3mm holes in it, glue the coil.
I closed the coil and the magnetic core with epoxy clay, glue the pads under the magnets (they used ordinary washers), after hardening the epoxy can be processed with a file / skin.
On the inside we attach the charging controller. Solder the coil taps.
Negative output directly solder to the body of the cover. The material is aluminum, it is not realistic to solder with rosin, it is necessary to use soldering acid.
With the advantage of food more interesting, it is displayed on the diagnostic connector - we solder a copper foil track to it.

Some general tips:
- At any time, the correct operation can be checked by connecting the battery cover to the base and monitoring the voltage with a voltmeter.
- the process of modification took a couple of months of slow work, selection of materials, search for solutions. Therefore, I bought a spare cover in advance on ebay.
- I did not find copper foil on sale, I ordered it on ebay
- all photos are collected in this album
- the cost of this phone for you should be completely uncritical, possible failures, short circuits, etc.
