Parallella Board new details

If you remember, in October there was a post about raising funds on Kickstarter for the Parallella project - a new type of multi-core processor with a high ratio of performance to energy consumption. The company succeeded and brought 900 thousand dollars. The first fees will be sent to the backers in May.

The developers are completing the design and layout of the board in the coming weeks. And what innovations await us in the final version

• More powerful Xilinx Zynq-7020 instead of Zynq-7010 (The board has two processors - 16-core Epiphany and 2-core central FPGA ARM Cortex-A9).
• Increased the number of IO ports. Four 60-pin connectors will allow you to connect expansion cards with a total bandwidth of more than 8 GB / s.
• The form factor is the same as that of the Raspberry Pi - the size of a credit card.

Boards from the Zynq-7020 will be sent to the backers, and after the public release they will be sold as a separate version.
64-nuclear version will not be yet, because the necessary three million developers could not collect.
