The other day, Samsung Electronics announced the start of sales of 1TB SpinPoint F1 hard drives. The new HDD used three plates, each of 334 GB. The price of terabyte hard drives is $ 399.
The rotational speed of the plates SpinPoint F1 - 7,200 revolutions per minute. "On board" the hard drives have 32 MB of cache. The new drives consume 6.7 watts in standby mode and, on average, just over 7 watts in operation.
