Spammers give up?

Has spam become so ineffective that customers lose interest in it? Perhaps the way it is, writes Wired . Something really strange is happening this year. Over the past 12 months, the proportion of spam in mail traffic has steadily declined, this is observed for the first time in many years. The graph below shows Gmail statistics. Red shows the total percentage of spam in the incoming traffic before filtering, and blue shows spam passed through filters (calculated from user complaints).

As you can see, the spam business is turning into a completely hopeless enterprise. It is unlikely that Google is so promoting its unique collective filter. It looks like the numbers are real. Perhaps spammers are really starting to give up (go to social networks?).

However, other experts do not agree with the statistics of Gmail. Wrestlers with spam from various commercial and public organizations claim that the amount of spam on the web continues to grow. According to their estimates, tens of billions of junk emails are being thrown on the Internet every day.

For example, Yahoo reports a slight increase in the total amount of spam, although in relative numbers it may be slightly reduced.
