By request, RIAA Google has removed 10 million links from the issue

It seems that the record labels of their association are not going to give up, and continue to insist on removing links to the "pirated" content from the search service output. Since Google has introduced a mechanism for removing links from search results on demand, the RIAA associates have achieved the removal of 10,000,000 links to pirated content.

Every week, the RIAA and the record companies in this association send tens of thousands of requests to Google to remove certain materials from the issue. And despite the fact that not all requirements are met, the RIAA has achieved very significant results.

Here is a screen from the last Trancparency Report, dated January 21st. Since then, several tens of thousands of links have been removed from the issue of Google, so now the number of deleted links already exceeds 10 million. The RIAA chose an avalanche tactic where Google simply overwhelms the removal of certain links. It may well be that the employees of the latter simply cannot cope with the influx of complaints from the record companies, and remove all references that the “owners” demand to remove.

By the way, some other services that provided the ability to search for links to music files placed without the knowledge of the RIAA are also buried under a pile of lawsuits / complaints. As an example, Grooveshark.

In general, it seems that the RIAA and other similar organizations have so far quite successfully implemented their plans for dominance in the media world.
