Dzhan Dzhanovich Khan-Magomedov died

On November 27, 2007, after a long, long - term illness, Jan Khan-Magomedov, executive director of the Regional Public Center for Internet Technologies , passed away at the age of 50 years.

Jan Janovich was one of those who stood at the origins of the Russian Internet. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Electronic Engineering with a degree in "Design and Production of Electronic Computing Equipment" in 1979, and a postgraduate study at Moscow State University. M. V. Lomonosov in 1983. Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. He is the author of more than 30 scientific papers on programming, CAD, databases and information systems, as well as about 30 other papers on the development of the Internet in Russia. Working as executive director of ROCIT, D.D. Khan-Magomedov participated in the creation of the IDF, the Coordination Center of the national domain of the Internet, PRIOR, RIF, he taught at the Moscow State University Journalism Department Internet Group. On his initiative, the Runet Prize was created and developed.

Farewell to DD Khan-Magomedov will be held on Friday, November 30 at 10.30 at the address: Moscow, Morgue Hospital No. 50, ul. Vuchetich, d. 21. The funeral ceremony will be held in the Mitinsky crematorium at 12.30 at the address: Krasnogorsk district, Pyatnitskoe highway, 6th km.
