Table with backlight for sealing boards

This post may well qualify for the invention of the bike, however I would like to tell you about the manufacture of additional devices that make life easier for the electronics engineer.

When mounting controllers with small pitch of legs, they can only be set “at light”, so the idea was born to assemble a simple mounting table with lower illumination.

The base of the table is such a wonderful box from the gift set:

The backlight module is made of a conventional LED strip with a supply voltage of 12V. The 5 meter tape was bought on ebay for $ 6.5. On the table you need about 1 meter of tape.

The tape was glued on a piece of plexiglass, the pieces are connected in series:

You can power the tape from any power supply, the current consumption is about 250 mA per 1 meter of tape.
On the power supply, it is desirable to have an output capacitance of about 5000 microfarad, on my transformer power supply unit without capacitance the LEDs blinked noticeably (50 Hz)

A tape deck and a power unit were placed inside a wooden box:

There is also a backlit switch added:

In the grooves for the cover fitted glass with a thickness of 4 mm with a sheet of paper below as a diffuser.
Table assembly looks like this:

With the lower backlight on the board, it is easy to center the controller, and it is more convenient to solder it

Thanks for attention ))
