Inspired by the not so vigorous work of my laptop and the post about
something original .
As a preface
In the fall I needed a laptop with Windows for work. For various reasons, one of which was the cost, my choice fell on the
Acer Aspire S3 391 . Powerful enough, cute, compact, for my needs quite enough. The first thing that caught my eye,
after the fucking matrix , is very slow work. After turning on the laptop it took several minutes to recover.
')
In theory, a car with such characteristics should not work that way, I thought, and began to remove the buns from
Acer . After deleting, probably 90% of the pre-installed programs, it became more smart, but not as we would like. After thinking a bit, the hard disk was recognized as a weak link. After reading the post about "
something original " I decided to drive tests on my car, and the results struck me, to say the least:

It was decided - it is necessary to do something with the disk. I got used to the matrix, but otherwise the beech was fine for me.
SSD purchase
Having allocated the necessary amount of money, after the birthday, I began to choose. The choice fell on the
OCZ Vertex 4 128 GB , which was purchased. After waiting for a free evening, I once again reviewed the
video about the disassembly of the Aspire S3 , in order to have an idea that I would see there. At that time I did not know that 2.5 "disks are of different thickness, but some doubts have already crept into my head, and I decided to google a little on the upgrade of this laptop. It turned out that you can put only a
low profile 7 mm disk in
Vertex 4 was not chosen, choosing a suitable model on the storeβs website, went to make a replacement. Fortunately, there were no problems with it, the guys took a hard one and told them to wait until they brought a new one. shtudirovaniya store site brought
Vertex 3 LP, p why not permanently Vertex 4 LP.Replacement
Waiting for the next free evening, with full confidence that everything would fit, I decided to act.
The process is quite simple, no difficulties have arisen.
Turn off the bottom cover

Take out hdd
In spite of the fact that the disk frame was firmly fixed, it was not necessary to remove anything except for unscrewing the tape and unscrewing one bolt fixing the frame. Just move aside the charging connector.

It was and became

We put ssd
Screw the frame to the new disk and put everything in place.

results
I think there is no sense here to talk about the difference between
hdd and
ssd , just give the numbers.

The estimate of the speed of data exchange with the disk increased from 5.9 to 7.9, although I do not know where it came from 5.9 from.
Conclusion
After several days of using the updated laptop, I can say that working with him has become much and much more pleasant. Now it is much more responsive, there is no sticking when switching between programs or browser tabs.
If you do not need Windows 8 or touch screen, then this is a decent model for your money (the laptop was bought for 26 tr. + 4 tr. Ssd).
