Startups and Plagiarism.

Now we will talk about plagiarism, more precisely, about the feelings of the developer who makes the project, which is plagiarized from another project.
How ethical is this from a development point of view? The question is not simple, because we, the developers, are accustomed to the fact that our profession is the creation of new products that are useful to society, we are moving the world forward with the most enduring technologies, we are, so to speak, at the forefront of technological progress.

But someone offers you to participate in a project that is obviously a plagiarism. Plagiarism in terms of ideas and functionality. And it’s not like “copying facebook into a runet” - this is how to copy chips from a new project in runet and take them so that they form the backbone of the functionality of their project.

Those. There is a project that is under development. People come to you and say that they want to make a clone from this project, which is online, and for some reason is not closed with a password, but so far it has not officially entered the network. And they offer you money.

I am interested in the following - is this consistent with the spirit of creativity in our profession? Would you agree to this?

PS: I will make a reservation in advance that I became a victim of plagiarism and I really want to understand those who are involved in projects clones and stolen projects.
