Yesterday, a message appeared on the website of the Kostroma region's public services that refutes recent news about the forced introduction of a “white list” of Internet resources in the Kostroma region. The last paragraph states the following: "The connection of the pre-installed parental control will occur with the consent of the recipients of the Internet service ."

It is also known that the Minister of Communications, Nikolay Nikiforov, said that it was illegal to introduce such filters in Russian regions:
" In our country, a single and indivisible information space, there cannot be any of its own rules of access to information for a citizen in the same region or region ."
