According to the new schedule , the official release of Firefox 2.0 is scheduled for October 25, 2006. The closest event in the calendar is the release of Firefox 2 Beta 2, scheduled for August 24. After that, three release candidates will be released: September 20, October 3 and October 12.
The “freezing” of the second beta code began today at 12.00 Moscow time. It will last until August 22, after which the finished distribution will be released.
