WindowsAndroid allows you to run Android 4.0 ICS as a Windows application

If you want to run Android applications on your PC or laptop with Windows, now this possibility has appeared. The new program WindowsAndroid allows you to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as a “native” application for Windows. Accordingly, in the window that opens, you can work with all Android-programs.

Once WindowsAndroid is installed, you can already start using the browser, the built-in gallery and other software for Android. Of course, no problem, you can install and additional software for Android. Actually, this is not the first such application that allows you to run Android on Windows. For example, BlueStacks offers similar software. There are a couple of other alternatives.

But Windows Android is the only way to run Android 4.0 under Windows without additional software or hardware. This software launches the Dalvik virtual machine, which allows you to work with Adnroid-applications, plus allows your PC's hardware to handle requests from non-native applications.

If you have a tablet with Windows 8, or there is an all-in-one PC with a touchscreen, then you can work with the Android interface with your fingers, without any mice there. But if there is no touchscreen, then you can work with the mouse, there is no problem with that. WindowsAndroid will work on a PC with Windows Vista and higher, almost all major display resolution types are supported.

WindowsAndroid is still far from the final release, but the current version can be tested by giving a request for access to the application on the developer’s website .

According to those who have already worked with WindowsAndroid, the software is a bit more buggy, but it performs all the functions declared by the developer. After installing the software, apk-applications can be downloaded without installation in Adnroid itself, simply copy the files to the \ SocketeQ \ windowsandroid_root \ data \ app directory and restart the software. Many applications refuse to work, showing a message about "unsupported device." In general, the work of the authors of WindowsAndroid is still a lot, although more has been done.
