Since last summer, the Russian office of Google has been left without a CEO: Vladimir Dolgov, who has held this position since 2005, accepted the offer to
head the eBay online auction office established in Russia.
After his departure, the duties of the general director of Google Russia were performed by the company's financial manager, Evgeny Ilnitsky. However, according
to Kommersant, a new person has been selected for the position of director: ex-president of Prof-Media holding Yulia Solovyov.
According to Kommersant, this is Solovyova’s second offer to take the post of CEO in a month - before that she was invited to head the Sanoma Independent Media publishing house, but she refused.

Given her resume, such an interest in her is not surprising. According
to BFM.ru, Yulia Solovyova previously held the post of managing director of the Moscow office of the consulting company Alvarez & Marsal. For 5 years, from 2007 to 2012, she was Executive Vice President and President of the Russian media holding ProfMedia, where she was responsible for the creation and implementation of the holding’s portfolio strategy, asset management, corporate governance and financial performance of companies.
From 2003 to 2006, Solovyova held the position of MTS Corporate Development Director, where she was in charge of managing transformation programs, integrating newly acquired assets and improving the company's efficiency. Prior to that, she worked in the Dutch office of international consulting company Booz Allen Hamilton, NTV +, Mary Kay and Golden Telecom.
Reportedly, Solovyova graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the Moscow State Linguistic University; she has a diploma from the Monterey Institute of International Studies (USA) and an MBA from the Harvard Business School (USA).
