Next App Star: a global competition for Windows Phone applications

January 14, 2013 started the global competition of Windows Phone applications - Next App Star . And it is available for Windows Phone developers all over the world. In order to participate in the contest, it is enough to be a developer registered with the Dev Center, go to a special section by March 5 of this year and submit an application. All your applications published in the catalog until March 5 will participate in the competition.
If you have not yet developed an application or have developed it, but have not published it, then you can register now and publish the application before March 5.
Here is a short video from Laura Foy (in English) with a story about this competition.

Principles of selection of entries

Applications submitted to the competition will be evaluated based on both user ratings and application quality, including the use of new features of Windows Phone 8, such as live tiles. The number of works put up for public voting will be reduced to 64. Over the next weeks, the number of works will be reduced to 32, 16, 8, 4, 2 and finally the winner will be determined! Also, prizes will be played along the way to encourage people to participate in the contest (details will be later). There will also be various opportunities to promote applications and gain new users.
