An app that overtakes Instagram
Last week, EyeEm in the American App-Store overtook its rival Instagram, coming in second in the ranking of photo and video applications. The first place went to Youtube. [ techcrunch ]

The result was a small review of the application running on the iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone.

To change the filter, it is enough to run your finger horizontally across the screen, and to change the frame vertically. Subjectively, it is more convenient than on Instagram. And the photo does not have to be square, there is no need to cut it!
Photos are easy to share via Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, Foursquare, Tumblr, or send a link by mail. It is also easy to search and add friends, follow their photos, burn hearts to photos and write comments.
The issuance of photos taken somewhere near your location, will help to know what is happening around.
The program practically imposes a set of tags. Having taken a picture, it is immediately proposed to mark it thematically (disco, bar, travel, etc.) and geographically. Tags are made very nicely and as if begging themselves to click. (can replace with “I want to press them”?)
Of course, you can set your own tags, but if you are too lazy, then use ready-made.
Non-culture taught me to sign photos, if they do not go to the reporting series, in which everything is clear from the previous pictures and their signatures.
But sometimes there is no desire to sign a photo. And here, like a magic wand, tags help. I chose a topic, chose a place - and everything seemed to be signed.
If you want to receive themed photos, you need to choose the label for which you want to follow. Since the tagging of photos in EyeEm is done so simply that even a heavily weighted subject is able to do so, thematic subscriptions have the chance to give out a really interesting, requested tape.
Users remember that there was no solution for Instagram on the desktop. In EyeEm it is. You can also manage your account, comment, add / delete friends. All actions from one point.
In my opinion, the video from EyeEm is of course beautiful, but uninformative, so I made my own - ugly, but informative.
Most of all, EyeEm helped Instagram, frightening changes in user attitudes, and having lost almost half of the active audience in a short period [ ain.com.ua , referring to appstats ]
EyeEm uses this weak side of Intsgram and its other competitors, turning it into its powerful weapon - the program very carefully relates to the private sphere of the user. The terms of use are additionally written in simple, understandable to the usual "non-lawyer" language, and all changes to the conditions require confirmation by the user, otherwise they will not take effect.
Two sources of income are expected - the sale of custom photos with the payment of the fee to users and the holding of competitions for the best thematic photo. For example, initiated by a network of hotels, restaurants, clothing stores and other sponsors.
Everyone must make a conclusion on their own. I left Instagram before I met EyeEm. After studying this application, I decided that I would use it. Perhaps I will find another alternative over time.
