Today, looking through the news of the economy on one news portal, I saw the Windows Phone 8 SDK logo and automatically clicked on it. When the full text of the news opened, I was very surprised to see its headline “The net profit of the Moscow Exchange under IFRS for 9 months of 2012 increased by 22% - up to 6.4 billion rubles” !?
Later, I found out that the
Moscow Exchange conducted a rebranding and now uses the new logo, which is very similar to the Windows Phone 8 SDK logo (for more information about the Moscow Exchange logo, see
the Finparty website ).
I suggest to compare logos.

UPD 1: This was my last post on Habré, because after its publication, my karma is melting before my eyes, and my negative rating has already broken all Habr's records. Therefore, I want to express my last word to Habra community.
In contrast to a
similar topic posted on the Moscow Exchange Forum, I did not accuse the Moscow Exchange of plagiarism, but simply placed logos of the same size alongside so that readers can compare them. In my opinion, there is an obvious similarity.
The
Wikipedia article on logos clearly defines the purpose of the logo: “The logo is the most important element of the company's image. It serves, first of all, for identifying a company in the market ... ”. Suppose that if there was no plagiarism, then the designers who created the Moscow Exchange logo did not cope with their task, since It is difficult to identify a company by this logo (especially on the international market). The developers of the Visual Studio logos performed their work superbly:

And now about the reaction to this post. Honestly, I can not understand what caused such a flurry of negative emotions. This post was published in the hubs of "Visual Studio" and "Branding in IT", and it corresponds to their subject matter. If you think this post is not appropriate in the “Visual Studio” hub, then why didn’t anyone notice the
change of the logo of Vladimir Yunev? Or, on the contrary, this post turned out to be very visual and touched someone for living. And this one of all forces is trying to make me remove this post from Habr, thus saving my rating and karma. In any case, it is now “too late to drink Borjomi,” since The amount of damage to my account is too large. So this post will now forever hang on Habré.
Goodbye Habr!
