Legally legal signature of documents without leaving Gmail

HelloSign for Gmail is a simple and convenient extension to Chrome to set up facsimiles for emails arriving. Previously, it was necessary to print a document, sign, scan a document with a signature. Now the procedure is simplified as much as possible: just press the Sign button, which appeared in the interface.

For a few seconds you can insert a picture into the document. Generally speaking, a freehand signature has long become an obsolete artifact that protects nothing. But here you at least do not spend time on it.

You can upload your signature to the HelloSign server immediately after installing the extension and authorization. The service offers instructions, so that you can draw an autograph even with a mouse on the screen, or in another way. HelloSign supports work with doc, docx, pdf, tif, tiff, ppsx, ppt, pptx, tif, tiff, jpg, jpeg, png, xls, xlsx, txt, gif files.

This is a legitimate signature if you signed it yourself. Authenticity and protection of a signature against falsification are guaranteed by the HelloSign server, the connection to which is established over SSL with a 256-bit key, and the company itself audits and stores the logs of each request behind the signature. In other words, the service ensures that the facsimile is 100% owned by the owner of a specific email address.

Relevant laws on electronic signature legality:

USA
2000 US Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN)
Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA)

European Union
European Directive (EC / 1999/93)

By the way, Paul Buchheit, author and lead developer of Gmail, helped to make this extension. He invested in creating the free HelloSign service. It must be assumed that in the future the service will have some paid options.
