Good afternoon,
With this post, I want to warn the Russian-speaking community about a new phishing trend, moving by leaps and bounds around Europe. Currently covered Germany. I think at a pace very quickly get to Russia and the CIS.
The point is that a QR code on a poster at the airport, a doctor’s brochure or for example on an information sticker hanging in a bank is carefully glued to others, which leads respectively to a malicious phisher page. Sometimes it is even cut out and glued in a new one, for example from the inside of the bank, on a poster behind glass on the outer wall or the front door. Outside, this plywood is almost not noticeable under glass and there is no doubt that the QR code belongs to the bank.
Even people who are serious about the security of their data, such as checking URLs in browsers before paying PayPal, etc., come across this trick. This is due to the high level of confidence in information that hangs, for example, inside a large bank.
From my friends we have already two cases:
- One took away and changed all the passwords stored in the browser of the phone, after visiting the website advertising the movie, from the QR code taken at Frankfurt Airport. Upon arrival in Hamburg could not go anywhere; (UPD)
Details in comments ...
- A friend of my second companion covered more seriously. When he saw the sale of a new version of StarMoney at a discount (popular aka Home Banking banking program in Germany), he decided to buy it by phone - QR from a poster, etc. The result is a password removed by PayPal and a certain amount of money debited by PayPal from the account.
By the way, it could have ended much worse for him - StarMoney is distributed download. Those. he could even send the left URL to the Trojan StarMoney - then a white fur animal would come to all his accounts.

So be careful and be sure to tell your household!
