Active signs, called SolarLite LED, are “packed” with solar energy during the day and glow at night, thereby improving visibility from 90 to 900 meters. Given the speed of about 90 kilometers per hour, this visibility range gives the driver about 30 seconds to make decisions and respond. According to statistics that have not been verified yet, the placement of such LEDs has reduced the number of night accidents on the roads by 70%.
Unfortunately, it is not at all known what the SolarLite LED equipment will become, say, 1 km of the road, and even more it is not known whether similar roads illuminated by LEDs will appear in other countries.
