“Both the ultramodern hero, the hacker Gena, and the genie Hottabych live a life that is far from reality,” says Tochilin. “When they collide with her, it turns out that there is something in common between these two: the hacker Gena is no less a magician than Hottabych, when using the program he wrote“ hides ”a genie on the Internet.”
The script of the film is based on the novel by Sergey Oblomov “The copper jug ​​of the old Hottabych”. “But our story is not at all like a famous fairy tale,” says the director. - Moreover, the film is far gone from Oblomov's novel.
