Today I would like to talk about media players for Android. “Why is this all of a sudden?” You ask. Well, firstly, the previous similar review on Habré seemed incomplete to us, and secondly, we in Alconost recently made a video about the player Poweramp, which we really liked. Therefore, we wondered: are there many decent players under Android?
By the way, the video itself: ')
All androidovodovod and sympathizers invite them under the cat…
So, the first number we have is Poweramp (Android 2.1+, $ 3.99). A full listing of its capabilities will take a couple of sheets, so I’ll confine myself to the main ones:
Formats: MP3, MP4 / M4A (including lossless ALAC), FLAC, OGG, WAV, TTA, WMA and APE / WV
Built-in 10-band graphic equalizer
Tone, bass, treble and preamp
Create / Edit Presets, Tags, and Playlists
Support for .cue metadata files
Excellent sound quality, quick library search, 8 interface languages (including Russian), low power consumption, flexible settings, a built-in coffee maker, automatic loading of album covers and much more.
Usability deserves a special praise - the player supports beautiful themes and desktop widgets, the interface elements are very logical, and the music is sorted by artist, album, genre, playlist, and even the created playback queue. In addition, folders can be viewed in two modes - hierarchically or as a list.
Actually, the only minus that we found is payment. The trial version of the player fully works for two weeks, and then it starts asking for money. However, this money is worth it. No wonder Poweramp often flashes in the Top-10 applications on Google Play.
NRG Player (Android 2.0+, $ 4.00) is another very high-quality player integrated with the 4shared.com service for storing and sharing music files. In terms of functionality it is much the same as Poweramp. The only disadvantage is an unnecessarily futuristic interface, more like a fighter's dashboard.
BSPlayer (Android 2.1+, $ 5.99 or Adware) is a well-known Windows user that has recently appeared on Android. Has a free version showing ads. The main advantage, according to the developers, is effective hardware acceleration. Among the shortcomings - the interface is available only in English.
RealPlayer (Android 2.1+, Freeware) is a powerful enough audio and video player, which, among other things, will serve as a good viewer of graphic files. It has a user-friendly interface, can play back slide shows with background music. The obvious disadvantage is that the distribution package is not sickly (12.3 MB).
For Android 2.1+, there is the good old Winamp from Nullsoft. Able to synchronize your music collection with your computer via USB and Wi-Fi, and also supports listening to online radio stations. The interface is available in Russian.
Our review is completed with a free MX Player (Android 2.1+), which provides very powerful tools for working with subtitles, including customizing the appearance, font, style, size, color, shadow, border, and other parameters. Even in this player is extremely simple control - for example, to change the volume, just hold the screen up or down.
Well, to seed the discussion: what kind of players do you use,% username%?
