Blizzard plans to release a game for Linux this year.

Michael Larabel, the author of the Phoronix resource dedicated to Linux and open source software in general, reports in the latest news :

“A reliable source in the company told me that at least one of their popular games will be ported to Ubuntu during this year. This was said at a personal meeting and supported by additional evidence. Blizzard plans to “probe” the Linux games market with its first port in order to determine its future course. This port is executed internally by their own developers, which is hardly surprising, given their statements in the past and work already being done on Linux clients. ”
