Greetings to all! Last night, namely - on November 20, 2007 at
10.40 pm we launched our project in beta test -
DevLinks.com.ua . Briefly, what is it (and also what it is eaten with, drink, etc.).
DevLinks is a user-filled catalog of links to interesting materials on the Internet, and users can vote for their favorite articles and thus display them on the first page of the portal, or vice versa, remove uninteresting material out of sight (this is the most collaborative filtering, or web 2.0). Articles can be commented on, so often the discussion itself is more interesting than the article that became its pretext. By the way, the comments themselves can also be rated by voting! By registering, you will be able to add your own materials, communicate with other users, which you can add to your circle of friends and send them private messages. Well, you can read materials from other users and vote for them without any registration - just go to the site.
If there is one more pleasant opportunity - saving interesting articles (this icon is stored near each material), which will allow you to create your personal, accessible only to you, selection of materials with direct access from your profile.
')
The main subject of the site is various areas of the IT market, mainly targeting programmers and developers of various ranks, network administrators, as well as other users dealing with computers and information technologies and wanting to learn something new or share it with others. And designers, and graphics, and 3D modelers, computer games developers - everyone can find interesting material for themselves on this site or share their news.
Although the domain of the project indicates that it belongs to the Ukrainian part of the web (UA-web), but this does not mean anything - the materials are published in various languages, in particular, in Russian and English. Therefore, wherever you live, in whatever country you work - this project is for you, without any restrictions!
Currently, the project is in beta test, so there may be various problems and difficulties, we ask all users to treat this with understanding and report all problems and inaccuracies in the comments or directly to the administration.
The project itself is built on the basis of the Pligg social networking engine, which we are still slowly refining and sharpening with a file.
I would be grateful for comments and assistance in the work and testing of the project. Thanks in advance for your attention!
