How to do without dyndns

Good time of day.

Below I want to share a way how with the help of the dropbox I managed to get the current external ip of my router. At once I will make a reservation that ip stands out dynamically for me.

We have at home a router with a raised client dyndns, which at one moment stopped working. The desire to connect to the home grid was great, and there was also confidence that the router was alive. I had to look for solutions to the problem.

The dropbox service came to the rescue, the client of which had already been raised at the home file storage facility.

Immediately log in to the web interface of the cloud service, go to the security section:

There is a list of my devices - “My devices”. Among them, I find my NAS, I see that it was synchronized before the problem appeared (in the info you can see the old IP address where you cannot connect to the grid). I upload the file to the dropbox, I see that the info has been updated, which means the router is really alive and active. I get a new IP, which eventually turned out to connect.

Quickly getting access to the network was able to solve the problem, and later the problem with dyndns was already fixed.
