The collection of donations for the development of the FreeType project has been announced.

Are you using an iPhone, iPad or Android device? Maybe you use Linux? All of these platforms use FreeType to display fonts and do it perfectly.

FreeType is used in hundreds of millions of computers, but no one sponsored its development. Not very fair, right?

In addition to user support and bug fixes, the money collected will go towards the implementation of some important and useful things like WOFF support.
