Half of the users of Britain “communist” wireless access to the network from neighbors

Sophos, a senior technical consultant and just a British computer security authority, Graham Cluley, said that more than half of the people surveyed agreed that they illegally used to access the network via Wi-Fi.

These data were obtained as a result of Sophos researching the number of people using other people's WiFi networks without payment. The study showed that 54% of users admitted that they violated the law, using without the permission of others' wireless networks.

In a statement, Sophos said that “residents of many ordinary houses cannot adequately secure their wireless networks, forgetting passwords and encrypting the connection, allowing free riders and neighbors to steal access to the Network without paying the Internet provider.” It was also said there that ordinary home networks, not corporate ones, suffer from security problems, so that “remote workers may be a weak link in corporate protection”.
