Startup Web 2.0 starts a reality show

This is the idea of ​​the new online contest YoubetheVC , which should start in February 2008. The selection of the best will be held by voting of the participants and viewers of this "reality show".

The competition site is a social network for entrepreneurs, visionaries and everyone else who has ideas and desires to create their own startup. Here they can get to know each other, exchange ideas and discuss other people's projects. They form teams and write business plans right on the site (applications have been received for a month and a half and will be completed in February). An authoritative jury (Marissa Mayer from Google and others) will select 20 finalists who will remove promotional videos and put them to the public vote.

As a prize, the winners will receive start-up capital for the development of their business. The main sponsor of the competition is the New York investment company Bang Ventures.
