"Vebalta" shows the "confidence level" of each site in asterisks
The new Russian search engine Vebalta is trying to keep up with the largest search engines. In particular, they use a special weighting algorithm for incoming links to rank websites among search results. Similar systems on Google and Yandex are called PageRank and CY (thematic citation index). In the system "Vebalta" is WebaltaRank (WR).
In addition to the number of incoming links and their rating, the calculation of WR takes into account many additional factors, including the time of registration of the domain name and the reputation of the hosting provider. The WR rating is updated several times a month.
A distinctive feature of WR is that each site can place on its page a special icon that will show the WR of this site according to the search engine version. The “Trust Level” icon shows a certain number of stars (from zero to five) and the numerical value of WR. For example, the site ya.ru deserves four stars and WR 82, and yandex.ru - four and a half stars and WR 98.
