Russian AI Cup: results

So, the Russian AI Cup is complete!

The championship has reached the international level: amateurs and programming professionals from 30 countries of the world participated in it.
Recall the qualifying stages:

Round 1 : 900 participants from the Sandbox, the top three looked like this:
1. Gennady Korotkevich - tourist (Gomel, Belarus)
2. Roman Udovichenko - Romka (Belarusian State University, Minsk, Belarus)
3. Nikolay Vabishchevich - Mr.Smile (Moscow, Russia)

Round 2 : 300 + 45 participants. Initially, the rules were supposed to pass 300 people. But due to the great popularity, we gave out 45 wildcards to those who immediately followed 300. The best at this stage were:
1. Alexander Milanin - Milanin (Tavrichesky NU, Simferopol, Ukraine)
2. Roman Udovichenko - Romka (Belarusian State University, Minsk, Belarus)
3. Alexander Vazhev - valex (Chelyabinsk, Russia)

And finally (drum roll ...) 50 participants competed in the final of the Russian AI Cup 2012 championship , and we solemnly announce the winners!
1. Nikolay Vabishchevich - Mr.Smile (Moscow, Russia)
2. Nikita Glaschenko - Hohol (Mercury Development, Samara, Russia)
3. Alexander Milanin - Milanin (Tavrichesky NU, Simferopol, Ukraine)
4. Yuri Semenov - SDil (St. Petersburg, Russia)
5. Vasily Kostin - Megabyte (Sibtel-Krypto LLC, Tyumen, Russia)
6. Roman Udovichenko - Romka (Belarusian State University, Minsk, Belarus)

As well as the winners of the Sandbox - the last official part of our competition - were:
• Yuri Semenov - SDil (St. Petersburg, Russia)
• Alexander Milanin - Milanin (Tavrichesky NU, Simferopol, Ukraine)
• Evgeny Voronyuk - GreenTea (ISD, Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine)
• Nikita Glaschenko - Hohol (SSAU, Samara, Russia)
• Aleksey Chernevich - Liaksiejka (Belarusian State University, Minsk, Belarus)
• Vasily Kostin - Megabyte (Sibtel-Krypto LLC, Tyumen, Russia)

On behalf of the entire jury and the organizing staff, we want to thank all the participants, those who left feedback and offered ideas, as well as those who spoke in the comments and wrote to us in the mail. It was a genuine pleasure for us to observe the battles of the participants and discuss the cunning elements of the strategy that they used. We hope that you also had an interesting time!
