Less than 10 years later, as Yota still confirms the release of a native smartphone with two screens, the one whose disc was shown 2 years ago at a meeting with President Medvedev (
Article on Habré ).
According to a press release published on
Engadget , the device carries:
- Two screens (one of them is E-ink) with a diagonal of 4.3 inches
- LCD screen resolution 1280x720
- Dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor with a frequency of 1.5 GHz
- 2 GB RAM, 32 or 64 GB non-expandable flash memory
- Of course, support for LTE (GSM / UMTS / LTE)
- Main camera: 12 megapixel, front: HD
- Battery: 2100 mAh
From the exotic:
- Additional sensor zones for phone control (Gestures on the extended capacitive areas)
- Wireless charger
- SIM card slot combined with Power button
- Data on the Eink screen can be displayed using the open API
Also, we are promised the latest version of Android 4.2.

This miracle is expected to be on sale in the third quarter of 2013.
Initially, a prototype of a
similar (via
saguro ) device was shown at the IFA exhibition by an unknown manufacturer. In the picture, however, does the OS of the device look more like a
Win Mobile Windows Phone, or is it again a blank with a glued screen?

On beautiful advertising renders, the device looks great.
But there are also many questions and doubts. By the time of release, the Android version will not be the last, and the dual-core processor is already being installed in almost all smartphones.
The full functionality of the Eink screen is incomprehensible (it seems that it will not be all touch, but only partially)
