The Malaysian authorities are introducing state regulation of information posted on the country's registered Internet sites and personal web pages, announced on Wednesday the Prime Minister of the State Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who also holds the post of Minister of Internal Security.

“We cannot allow our citizens to be deceived and misled on major issues related to the development of our society. This primarily relates to political and economic issues that are published uncontrollably on the Internet, ”said the Malaysian prime minister, who obviously does not understand that it is impossible to control anything on the Internet, even if there is a magic sword.

According to him, the decision does not contradict the principles of freedom of the press and allows to detain violators of "public peace", which "provoke the occurrence of interethnic and interreligious conflicts, as well as distort official indicators of the country's economic growth," reports RIA Novosti .
