London taxis will be equipped with high-speed access points

Black taxis in London are part of the history of the capital of Great Britain. But now these seemingly unattractive avtomobilchiki can also become a symbol of internet socialization of society. The UK authorities have decided to equip these taxis with high-speed Wi-Fi access points. This will kill two birds with one stone, passengers can go to any point in London without stopping work (or entertainment, just here) on the Net.

The responsibility of installing mobile access points is assigned to Eyetease, which has already created the necessary system. In exchange, the company received the opportunity to show their (and someone else's) ads. Before using free high-speed WiFi Internet, a passenger will have to watch a 15-second commercial. So far it is unclear whether it is possible to disable this video, but it is unlikely.

The session with the wireless network lasts 15 minutes, after which the passenger will again have to see the advertisement. It is worth noting that the author of this idea just made the company Eyetease. WiFi taxi, at least partially, will be able to solve the problem of connecting to the Network both guests and residents of the city who are on the road.

According to the developers, tourists, businessmen and travelers (and even residents of the city) have an excellent opportunity. The system will be implemented in London in early 2013.
