At the end of June, a technical failure occurred on the servers of the hosting provider Valuehost, as a result of which data from 500 sites were lost. The company did not back up the information (although it promised to do it), so the customer data was lost irretrievably. The flow of complaints against Valuehost is growing, and some of the victims will probably be resolved by the court.
The behavior of Valuehost in relation to customers can be called aggressive. So, after the publication of an
article in the CNews publication containing comments from the management of the Esms online store (the store “disappeared” due to a technical failure), the hosting company blocked the domain
www.esms.ru , paid one month in advance.
In one of the Valuehost emails to Esms it says that the domain was blocked after an article appeared on the CNews website. “Also on the site esms.ru, which, nevertheless, continued to host us, a call was placed to submit an application to the court against our company,” says the letter Valuehost,
quoted by CNews. The provider promises to remove the lock after the above-mentioned call is deleted from the store site. As compensation, the company offers 1 month of free hosting.
