Exactly a week ago I wrote a post about Qt 4.8.4 release , and today we are waiting for a new release! Congratulations!

Today it is Qt 5.0 RC (first release candidate). Details, strictly speaking, under the cut.

Translation from Qt Blog :

Since the release of the second beta about 4 weeks ago, we have made tremendous progress in stabilizing Qt and put everything in place. Although the last couple of weeks recorded hundreds of errors in the code, the focus was actually aimed at polishing the convenience of working with the product. As part of the product is quite a large set of features that we have already announced since the second beta version. But, besides the pure error correction there are a couple of new features.

We have completely restructured Qt Documentation. We made it really better and more convenient. Try it and see. We also worked very well on Qt Examples to allow beginners to start from a “low start”.

Any API we change will not affect the Qt 4.x API when porting your application to Qt 5. We feel confident that this release candidate is already very close to Qt 5.0.0 Final Release.

If there are any problems, first look here , perhaps we already know about them.
