The Ukrainian mobile content market has been growing at a 100% pace for the second year, and its volume has exceeded $ 50 million, according to estimates by the Ukrainian branch of research company iKS-Consulting . This is the highest growth rate in the segment of personalized services in Ukraine.
The growth of the Ukrainian VAS (value added services market) was determined by the mobile content market due to the development of the “mobile Internet” service in the networks of telecom operators. In general, the growth of the Ukrainian industry VAS in 2005 amounted to more than 170%. The share of content services in the revenue structure of VAS rose to 19%.
The development of the Ukrainian market has its own atypical features: for example, in the country, voice services are more in demand than communication services. But in general, Ukraine with a slight delay repeats the path of development of most European countries and Russia.
