An online store supporting popular open source software has appeared in Europe

The German company Credativ GmbH today introduced for all European users an online system OSSC (Open Source Support Center), which is designed to support open source software. Credativ's innovative approach is that the company is ready to provide technical support services for those open products that are usually not officially supported by any developer.

Until now, this system has worked exclusively in Germany, in the homeland of Credativ, now OSSC has earned throughout Europe. The official premiere of the service in the UK is scheduled for today.

Among the products for which OSSC provides technical support are Debian, Ubuntu, Suse, Red Hat, Xandros, Gnome, KDE, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Kolab Groupware, eGroupware, Asterisk, Apache, Samba, Nagios, Xen and others.

The company offers several support packages - from basic for $ 270 a month, when the company offers email support for almost all open products for corporate and private users, to the Comprehensive package, which provides round-the-clock technical support for OpenSource products in networks of any scale.

“We used this scheme with phenomenal success in Germany. More than 3 dozen engineers have been identified for the project, each of which specializes in 3-4 products and knows them thoroughly, ”said Chris Halls, managing director of Credativ.

The company also offers a previously unused service - the transfer of the unused telephone support limit to the next reporting period. Also, unused hours can be “exchanged” for consulting services by Cretadiv.

“Today, of course, there are companies offering support for open products, but we offer the widest possible support. In addition, we support companies that use multiple distributions at the same time, ”he says.
