More and more of our colleagues at Mail.Ru Group are buying “Internet TVs” for themselves at home and more or less actively using them. At some point, having exchanged experience, we decided to find out how they are used in runet. One way or the other, the
statistics on Smart TV users appeared on the Mail.Ru Rating.
Naturally, it is open to everyone, and everyone can draw their own conclusions, but I will share those things that struck me.

First, Internet TV users exist. 9,000 people a day audience - this is not very much, but already not zero.
')
Secondly, using the TV for Internet browsing is not very convenient. Sessions are incredibly short - 9 clicks per visitor. This is small compared to the average - 30.
It is probably embarrassing for users that it is more convenient to pry on a big screen than on a small monitor.Men on the TV, of course, much more than women. But by age the
distribution is very even , the share of users over 40 and over 50 years is pleasantly surprising.
If we compare the
geography of televisions and ordinary Internet users, it is clear that the relative number of Russians in TV is substantially less. And if a large number of Americans and Germans look completely natural, then the increased share of Ukraine and especially Kazakhstan is inexplicable to me. Russia is less Moskvocentric than usual.
Pre- set providers dominate the search, Bing confidently
wins Yandex and Google .
Vkontakte, it seems, did not test for TV, and as a result,
Odnoklassniki’s advantage in terms of the number of transitions from social networks is simply indecent - more than 90%.
They are actively looking for mail (Mail.Ru in different variations naturally in the top of search queries), but for active use the remote control from the TV is still completely inappropriate - there are practically no transitions from mail services.
Simultaneously with the emergence of a common slice, televisions were separately considered in the section of operating systems in all counters. In general, see for yourself!
And if you have questions on statistics - ask in the comments, I will answer.
